Game Review: Lost and Found Co

Have you ever played a game based entirely on vibes? While searching for a new video game to ease my mind after work this past week, I came across Lost and Found Co, developed by Bit Egg Inc. It’s a hidden object, point-and-click-style game with incredibly adorable 2D artwork.

Similar to the search-and-find books of my childhood, each stage featured a scene in which I needed to find specific items within. Bit Egg Inc. did a phenomenal job bringing each scene to life.

It isn’t just a picture you stare at but a moving scene that brings the little stories to life. Interacting with different things within the scene always came with little easter eggs or surprises. This made interacting with the entire scene worthwhile.

Finding objects within each scene wasn’t easy, but it was never overly hard. Each one comes with a clue you can view if needed, which provides guidance but doesn’t solve it completely. There is even the ability to get a more detailed clue by using Juju points you earn by finding evil spirits in scenes.

Each scene is on its own, which made it easy to sit down and play Lost and Found Co after work. Once a scene is complete, you are dropped back to headquarters, which serves as your lobby. The natural pause in between made it easy on the mind to stop playing at the end of the night.

What I really loved about the game was the story that is told throughout. Through the tutorial in the beginning, players are introduced to the Goddess Mei and her duck-turned-human intern Ducky. The two are fighting against the evil KO Corp to save Mei’s shrine by restoring faith with the townspeople by finding their missing items.

The story chapters are gated behind meeting different goals like building up followers, completing client requests and building up fame on the game’s version of Instagram. This is done simply by playing the game, and I enjoyed how it pushed me to explore different stages rather than just speed through the story.

Adding additional stages to Lost and Found Co is on the roadmap for 2026, as shared by Bit Egg Inc on the official Steam page and something I am excited for. Each stage is rated from Easy to Hard, and there’s also a special mode where KO wreaks havoc on people.

Even after completing the story mode of the game, there are tons of reasons to continue playing. The extra requests are fun and challenging, but you also can customize your headquarters and room with items you earn from puzzles or can buy from the fox vendor. I could have spent hours just designing Ducky’s bedroom.

At the end of the day, Lost and Found Co was one of the highlights of my week. Being able to clock out of my 9-5 and clock into my evening shift filled with finding other things was just what my brain needed. It was cozy yet challenging in all the right ways.

So, if you love cozy games that will challenge your brain and remind you of your childhood, Lost and Found Co is a must-play. In all honesty, even if you are just looking for something that fits one of those categories, check this out.
